- 'Einstein by Robbert Dijkgraaf ’
30 November, Amsterdam
(English version)
Professor Robbert Dijkgraaf is back. This time he takes us on a journey through the life and revolutionary theories of the most famous genius of all time: Albert Einstein. SEinstein is the ultimate icon of our time. He devises the theories of relativity and E=MC2. His name alone is a metaphor for great intelligence. Robbert Dijkgraaf will explain that Einstein is not only intelligent, but also in the possession of a great imagination and a large amount of creativity. Similar to his previous lectures Dijkgraaf will use historical footage, spectacular animations, and also a ‘model of space and time’ to accomplish a good understanding of Einstein’s life, theories and thoughts. - Honorary doctorate from Radboud University Nijmegen
On Friday 24 May, Prof. R. (Robbert) Dijkgraaf received an honorary doctorate from Radboud University Nijmegen on the occasion of the ninetieth anniversary of the university. The honorary doctorate is being awarded for his outstanding scientific achievements as a mathematical physicist and for his dedication to making science more accessible to the general public. -
